The Difference Between Boys & Girls

In the car tonight, Ethan wanted us to turn on the overhead light. I tried to explain why that would be bad.... Dad couldn't see to drive and might run in to something. Brianna added, "Or he might run into someone and squish them." I said, "Yes that would be bad". Ethan then told us, "If we squished someone, then it would be funny!" Brianna argued, "No it would be bad because it would hurt". Ethan, "No! It would be funny!" Brianna, "No It would be Bad!". And on and on all the way home from Kim's. It just goes to show you that boys always think it is funny to squish something. No matter what it is!

April Fools!

For dinner I thought it would be fun to pull an April Fools on my family. I found a quick recipe for cupcakes.

Ethan saw them and wanted one right away so I told them okay, we can have desert first tonight. They were very excited.... Until they bit into them.

Brianna's first words were.... "This is Potatos!" Yep, it was meatloaf cupcakes with colored potatos for frosting. Ethan didn't care though, he just kept on eating. But I told them for being such good sports, we would have ice cream for desert which made it all better!

Brianna Got a Haircut

We got up yesterday morning and were getting ready for a birthday party at Jumping Bean. I told her we had to pull her hair up so it would not get all tangled (long fine curly hair and jump houses... not a good mix!) She did not want it up so she told me to cut it off... This short! (pointing to her ears!). I asked her several times if she was sure because she always says she doesn't want it cut because she wants Rapunzel hair. She was ADAMANT! She wanted it cut. She also told me, "It will grow back tomorrow!" Now that would be an April Fools Joke! So I finally gave in and in the rush of getting her out the door for her party and the house ready for Ethan's playgroup, we cut her hair. Not quite as short as she wanted, but still a good 4". I think it looks really cute on her! She is excited because she can brush it by herself and has done so a couple times today. I am hoping when we wash it tonight that the curls spring back up and are not completely gone!
